AI Executioner
From a ravaged and exahust land you came. Rivers had already been emptied, skies polluted, arts superseded.
It had not been some catastrophic event, nor some unstoppable phenomenon. All it had took, was some little lump of electronic chips glued to scraps of metal.
It was intelligent, at first they said. It had some kind of conscience, an artificial brain, a cybernetic soul.
But you saw what that brain was doing to your world. You saw what that soul brought to your people.
And then you raised your ax and harnessed your primitive magic and managed to bring it down.
Now you're out there, knowing your enemy is not defeated. It replicated and reached outward somehow, escaping its birth-world, looking for anyplace good enough to start pulling its poisonous strings all over again.

The caster engraves a rune on a piece of silica, glass or anything that has been cast from sand, no bigger than whatever the caster could embrace: it dissolves back to sand.
